a sterile zone. The Tamilnadu Fire & Rescue Department taken all efforts to
ensure the safety of buildings located adjacent to Chennai Silks.
Meanwhile, the city police registered a case by calling it an accidental fire.
The cause of the accident investigation was initiated with help of forensic experts
said a senior official of the city police.
The District Administration made all efforts to evacuate the nearby residents
to save them from dust and smoke pollution as it created suffocation for
the nearby residents. The fire was successfully doused after 32 Hours
of fighting by the Fire Brigade Personnel.
Cause of the Fire Accident
Meanwhile, the reason for the fire had been traced – it was due to the leakage of
an electrical spark from the generator. The diesel can, kept nearby the generator,
exploded and led to the fast catching and spreading of fire to other areas. The estimated
loss was to be nearly 500 crores of rupees.
